CARBON FOOTPRINT REDUCTION
SOLAR PANELS

WE HAVE REDUCED OVER 15,600 kg OF C02 EQUIVALENT IN 2024.

As part of our commitment to Corporate Sustainability Responsibility, we are proud to share that one of our warehouses now operates with solar energy.

In February 2024, we initiated our Sustainability Transformation Plan throught the installation of solar panels spanning 1,080 square meters at one of our warehouses near Aeropuerto Mariscal Sucre in Oyambarillo, Quito, Ecuador. By May 2024, the solar panel system was fully operational, marking an important milestone in our efforts to achieve our sustainability goals and improvements across our operations.

These solar panels, composed of advanced monocrystalline technology, are known for their enhanced efficiency and durability compared to other panel types. This system not only reduces our reliance on non-renewable energy sources but also contributes to statistics on sustainability by showcasing measurable progress in reducing our carbon footprint.

This initiative reflects our continued dedication to creating a cleaner, more efficient future while embedding sustainability into every facet of our operations.

Going forward, the company has intensified its focus on implementing key sustainability projects.

With this clean energy source, we are now generating our own electricity, enabling us to reduce our carbon footprint and decrease reliance on traditional energy sources.

Even under low sunlight conditions, the panels efficiently generate energy, thanks to their high energy density and advanced technology.

With an estimated annual production of approximately 345,000 kWh, these solar panels are expected to mitigate around 110 tons of CO2 emissions each year contributing to our sustainability goals.

When the solar panels generate excess energy, instead of storing it, they share the surplus with the Oyambarillo community

SUSTAINABLE FREIGHT TRANSPORTATION SOLUTIONS
SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL PROGRAM

The company has been a pioneer of SAF contribution to key airlines in the region.

In 2024, Logiztik Alliance Colombia became the first freight forwarder in Colombia to join the Air France KLM Martinair Cargo Sustainable Aviation Fuel program. The program uses fuel from recycled oils such as cooking oil, a cleaner substitute for conventional jet fuel and emits approximately 75% less CO₂ than fossil jet fuel during its entire life cycle.

Logiztik Alliance Ecuador previously became the first freight forwarder in the Americas to partner with the AFKLMP SAF Program in both cargo and passenger divisions in 2021.

WHY CONSIDER SUSTAINABILITY ASPECTS?

European legislation requires regulations in various markets that have a direct impact on how products are manufactured and marketed. For example, the CSRD requires all companies with sales of more than $50 million to publish regular reports on the social and environmental risks they face and how their activities affect people and the environment.

It’s important that all players in the supply chain understand the importance of these regulations to ensure compliance with market-specific standards, requirements, and quality.

Greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, deforestation and land use change, intensive use of agrochemicals, packaging, packaging waste, and impact on local biodiversity

Customers are increasingly aware of environmental issues, from what they consume to the products they use. That is why sustainability is not an option, it is an obligation to meet the diverse needs of our customers in various markets around the world.

Addressing these impacts allows us to achieve the following benefits:
  • Meeting current customer demands
  • Enhanced competitiveness for products in our region
  • Compliance with regulations
